Faith Over Experience

 Someone once said if all you know is all you think there is to be known or all there is, then you are wrong. The belief in the unknown makes room for deeper thought and consequently new heights of discoveries. This belief is called faith ‘the belief that truly anything is possible’. Experiences on the other hand are events we encounter or witness, that form or establish reason for caution, direction and sometimes inspiration to be. It forms the grounds for knowledge and helps avoid repeated mistakes. Experiences in some cases could be limitations as they leave imprints on our psyche about certain events in one’s life and affect the willingness to open up to anything new. Experiences, most times establish fear, water its roots and subsequently choke the roots of faith and emergence when they are sad or bad ones.

You suddenly find yourself trying to live within safe havens, ostracizing yourself from the midst of those who dare, who have a desire and belief for more, who have faith of breaking new grounds and overcoming new territories.

 Friends what happened in your past doesn’t primarily determine what happens in your future. So many have let their past experiences control, dictate, and predict what they do or don’t in the future. Thus, many have stayed blind, shutting their eyes and hearts to what could be or what truly is. 

A secret I’ll let you in on is that, ‘the world is not governed by our experiences or what we see, it is governed by an even greater force; ‘what we do not see’’. English words to explain this include mystery, spiritual or mystical. A lot of people believe that there’s nothing like the spiritual; this delusion has kept the science world in the dark for all time. Accessing this truth (the unseen, call it miracles) is only through the five letter word ‘FAITH’ because in the end faith always wins over experience. I’ve seen laws broken, seen knowledge and facts flawed, seen and experienced the unbelievable and from this point I can say the world is not only some spherical ball, but a breakthrough into a place of deep insight and substantiality of imaginative creativity. The scientist of old always believed there was more and never stopped digging. They uncovered more and more secrets that led to inventions we enjoy today.

Influenced by the fear of experiences of the past?  Your true source of strength comes from within and if you let these fears hold you down, you would be held down forever. Ultimately it is not what is around you that controls your life, but what is within you. So what have you locked up within? Because that’s your power bank, and you can’t let a drought of faith and abundance of fear kill that dream and desire for more. Even the devil knows this and so his end game is to defeat you within and then you are powerless on the outside, enslaved by fear.

Achieving greatness is not a consequence or product of doing the regular, it is as result of beating the ordinary, to take hold of what has never been done and this is ‘FAITH’. It goes beyond experience and births new experiences. And unless you keep testing your limits you would never know how far you can go or discover your greatest strengths.

We are co-creators having been created in the image of God our creator. So why limit yourselves? To create something new, you have to see what wasn’t there.  The miracle of air explains it better; we don’t see or touch air but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t there. As a matter of fact it is the most abundant natural resource in the world, so there is more to what isn’t seen than what is. So what experiences are you letting tie you down? Break free of those chains, that the devil’s plan to keep you down. There are mysteries waiting for your dauntless prowess to birth them. You were made to be a sign and a wonder, that doesn’t sound natural but supernatural. You can make impossibilities possible if only you believe. Let faith win over experience.
